Abstract

Mathematics, which is studied from an early age from early childhood through to adulthood, is a crucial discipline in everyday life as well as academic contexts. However, the notion that math is a daunting often creates anxiety during the learning process. learning process. Various methods can be used to overcome this anxiety, including mindfulness. This study aims to investigate the effect of mindfulness on math anxiety among anxiety in students at SMP Negeri 1 Hiliran Gumanti. This research using quantitative method. The study population consisted of students of SMP Negeri 1 Hiliran Gumanti, with a sample of 147 students through randomsampling technique. taken as many as 147 students through randomsampling technique. Data collection was conducted by using two scales, namely the mindfulness scale which consists of 7 items with . 7 items with. The results of the coefficient test in this study which The coefficient test results in this study state that there is a significant effect that shows a negative effect between mindfulness and math anxiety math anxiety in students of SMP Negeri 1 Hiliran Gumanti. This result is obtained from The results of the hypothesis test analysis that has been carried out and the results of the coefficient of R = 52.1% can be said to have a considerable influence. Therefore, It can be concluded that the higher the mindfulness, the lower the math anxiety felt by students and vice versa. students and vice versa. From the results of hypothesis testing that has been carried out the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, so that the research can be said.
