Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of job stress on cyberloafing behavior in public high school teachers in Padang City. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire sent via Google Form to respondents by visiting schools and distributed via the WhatsApp application. A total of 120 teachers from each public high school in Padang City participated in this study. The sample selection was carried out using proportionate random sampling technique. This study uses quantitative methods using simple linear regression tests as a data analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that there is a significance value of 0.000 less than the significance limit of 0.005 so it is known that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. The value (R²) in this study shows that as much as 33.4% of variations in cyberloafing behavior can be explained by job stress. It can be interpreted that work stress has a significant influence on the tendency of teachers to do cyberloafing behavior in the workplace.
