Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Dare to Decide CDMSE-based training to improve the career maturity of final year students of the Department of Psychology, Padang State University. This type of research is quasi-experimental research with a randomized pretest posttest control group design. Statistical analysis technique using independent sample t-test. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The population in this study were final year students of the Department of Psychology, Padang State University. The research subjects were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group of 12 people and the control group of 12 people. The sampling categories are active students in the 2020-2021 entry year of the UNP psychology department, students who are willing to become research samples, and students who get low pretest scores (experimental) and moderate to high pretest scores (control). The experimental frame was carried out for 2 consecutive days. The results in this study indicate that the effectiveness of Dare to Decide CDMSE-based training to improve the career maturity of final year students of the Department of Psychology, Padang State University is proven to be effective in improving career maturity, this is based on the independent sample t-test at a p value of 0.002 <0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that H1 in this study is accepted and H0 is rejected, so it can be said that the Dare to Decide training is proven to be effective in improving career maturity.
