Description of Self-compassion in Padang State University Students Studying Online

The purpose of this study is to find out the description of self-compassion for Universitas Negeri Padang students who study online. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with the subjects studied totaling 289 undergraduate students class of 2023 from 9 faculties at Universitas Negeri Padang. The sampling method used was purposive sampling. The data collection technique in this study uses the Self-compassion Scale (SCS) by Neff (2003) which has been adapted into a version using the Indonesian language under the name Self-compassion Scale (SWD) developed by Sugianto et al. (2020). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the general picture of self-compassion of undergraduate students in the class of 2023 at Universitas Negeri Padang who study from this is in the high category. There are differences in self-compassion for undergraduate students of Universitas Negeri Padang who study online based on their gender and there is no differentiation for undergraduate students of Universitas Negeri Padang who study online based on faculty.
