This study aims to analyze the relationship between emotional stability and problem-solving abilities among students at Universitas Negeri Padang actively engaged in organizational activities. A quantitative correlational design was employed, involving 86 purposively sampled respondents. Data collection was conducted using two scales: emotional stability and problem-solving scales. Normality and linearity tests ensured proper data distribution and variable relationships, followed by Pearson's correlation test. Results indicated that the majority of students had moderate levels of emotional stability and problem-solving skills, at 75.58% and 68.60%, respectively. Statistical analysis revealed a positive and significant relationship between emotional stability and problem-solving abilities (r = 0.350, p < 0.05). Students with higher emotional stability were more effective in addressing problems, supporting Heppner and Peterson's (1982) theory. These findings underscore the importance of emotional stability as a determinant in developing problem-solving skills, particularly for students active in organizations. The study recommends emotional training programs to enhance students' problem-solving capacities.
