The Effect of Workload on Job Satisfaction in Class IIA Padang Prison Employees

This study serves to see the effect of workload on job satisfaction in Class IIA Padang prison employees. Based on the data found that employees have a high workload, while job satisfaction is fulfilled in employees only the aspect of the job itself. The job is the main source of job satisfaction, when the job is interesting and has opportunities to learn new things, workers will feel satisfied with their work and job satisfaction will increase. The research method used is quantitative with total sampling technique, the sample in this study is the total population, with a total of 122 employees. Data collection utilizes a workload scale based on aspects of Gawron (2008) and job satisfaction based on aspects of Luthans (2006). Data analysis used in this study is a simple regression test with the help of IBM SPSS Statistic 25 for window. The results of this study indicate that there is no effect of workload on job satisfaction in Class IIA Padang prison employees. This shows that the workload on employees is classified as moderate (69.7%) while job satisfaction is classified as high (75.4%).
