Abstract

Counterproductive Work Behavior is an action that can harm an organization, either directly or indirectly. One factor that is thought to play a role in triggering this behavior is job insecurity. This study aims to examine the relationship between job insecurity and counterproductive work behavior among outsourced security guards at PT. X. The research approach used is quantitative with a correlational design. The sample consists of 96 outsourced security guards at PT. X selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted using the Job Insecurity Scale and the Counterproductive Work Behavior Scale. Data analysis was performed using Pearson correlation techniques via SPSS software. The results of the analysis indicate a positive and significant correlation between Job Insecurity and Counterproductive Work Behavior, with a correlation coefficient of 0.629 and p < 0.001 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the higher the level of perceived Job Insecurity, the higher the tendency for individuals to exhibit Counterproductive Work Behavior. Therefore, organizations need to pay attention to and manage job security for outsourced workers to minimize negative impacts on performance and work atmosphere.
