Abstract

Fenomena meningkatnya perilaku impulsive buying di kalangan mahasiswa pengguna Paylater mendorong perlunya kajian mengenai faktor psikologis yang memengaruhinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran regulasi emosi dalam memediasi hubungan antara locus of control dan impulsive buying pada mahasiswa pengguna Paylater. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis mediasi menggunakan Hayes Model 4. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa pengguna Paylater, dengan pengumpulan data melalui skala External Locus of Control, skala Emotion Regulation, dan skala Impulsive Buying. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa locus of control dan regulasi emosi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap impulsive buying (p < 0,05), serta regulasi emosi berperan sebagai mediator signifikan dalam hubungan keduanya. Temuan ini mengimplikasikan pentingnya kemampuan regulasi emosi dalam membantu mahasiswa mengendalikan perilaku konsumtif dan menggunakan layanan finansial digital secara lebih bijak.
