This study aims to determine the effect of bystander effect on prococial behavior in students of Psychology at Manado State University. This study used a non-probability sampling technique with a sample size of 155 participants. The measuring instrument used was a bystander effect scale and a prococial behavior scale in the form of a Likert Scale. The data analysis method used was simple regression. The results showed a beta value of -6.37, and an R value (correlation coefficient) of 0.776, the significant value obtained was 0.000 < 0.005. Therefore, H1 is accepted, indicating a significant effect of the bystander effect on prococial behavior. Based on the determinant coefficient test results for the bystander effect indicator, it is found that the R value of emotional aphaty was 0.669 or 66,9%, it means that there is a tendency for the situational influence of the bystander effect on prococial behavior by the presence of emotional aphaty among bystanders, therefore H2 is accepted.
